Working in whichever capacity at ARTEMIS Transition Partners, you get to realize how committed we are to ensuring that each one of us not only achieves their personal aspirations but also draws out real satisfaction from the openness, trust and support we strive to maintain.
At ARTEMIS Transition Partners, we are united by a common and genuine desire to serve our clients and surpass their expectations. This is the one thing we take most seriously.
At the same time, we acknowledge it is difficult to stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity our ability to deliver on client expectations depends on without allowing everybody the space to think and to be.
The free and unconstrained environment we work within is one of the greatest motivators for all of us at ARTEMIS Transition Partners.
We encourage you to set big expectations for yourself, since there is as much space and opportunity for you as you can create for yourself at ATP.
With a comprehensive, all-round induction programme, you have many options on where you’d finally want to work, in which industries, with which clients, and on what kind of assignments. Wherever you will be working, you can expect to find friendly and supportive peers keen to see you settle down quickly with every move, and keen to see that you grow into a strong member of the team.
We are also very particular on performance management.
Upon joining ATP, you will receive training on our performance management process, and soon thereafter be required to set up your own performance plan through a formal performance planning process. This performance plan will give direction on what will be expected of you over the planning period and provide the basis for a formal performance review every quarter.
We have a fairly flexible work environment, but nonetheless one that demands real results.
Your job at ATP, will largely be determined by the level at which you join the firm.
In the earlier stages of your consulting career, you will typically be involved in tasks such as:
- Research and documentation
- Collection and analysis of various data
- Facilitating focus groups
- Facilitating workshops
While you may undertake these roles early in your career, they are also roles into which you may want to settle and perfect your capabilities in.
In the later stages of your consulting career, you will likely be involved in the following, among other tasks:
- Sourcing business and managing client relationships
- Preparing client proposals and presentations;
- Interpretation of client situations into various decision making models;
- Planning client engagements;
- Managing multiple client engagement teams;
- Presentation of assignment findings and recommendations to clients;
- Providing clients necessary assistance in the implementation of proposed solutions
As an Associate Intern, your associate internship will be structured around a two-year programme, during which you will work under a qualified consultant.
The programme is designed to guide you through specific areas of training and development in consulting, as well as in various administrative functions necessary to give you background understanding of the corporate world and its workings.
It is especially through this Associate Internship programme that we build our consulting capacity, as well as consolidate the culture and values that hold us together.
As an Associate Intern, you will work on typical client assignments, in which you will be required to take responsibility for results in much the same way as a qualified consultant is expected to.
You will go to client meetings, make client presentations, write client proposals and plan the execution of client assignments. You will further be expected to execute specific tasks on client assignments, and report on progress made at agreed times.
In addition to all these, you will be part of the team and participate in all other regular, administrative, day-to-day activities within the firm.
With at least five years’ post-qualification experience, it will be expected that you have what it takes to quickly assimilate our consulting methodologies and as quickly begin to deliver real value to the firm's clients.
As an experienced professional, you will ordinarily join ATP to take up a management or specialist role, depending on the level and capacity in which you join.
Through the recruitment of experienced professionals, we aim to bring in external perspectives of the areas in which we work, and to consolidate our consulting capabilities. You will, in this regard, have a free hand in directing your area of work, and in contributing to the firm’s continuous improvement.
Start with the customer – find out what they want and give it to them.
If you will have worked in an environment where you were closely supervised and perhaps with someone else accountable for the results you will have been required to achieve, working in ATP will prove a pretty awkward experience.
Save for the structural reporting relationships that exist within the firm, we do not expect that anyone will supervise or be supervised. Period. We believe that in each one us lies a genuine desire to excel as professionals and therefore find little room for supervision – which, over the years, we have determined to be an NVA – “non-value adding activity”.
We are each individually accountable for specific results on different client and non-client assignments, and we collectively work to see that we achieve the whole.
Our comprehensive performance management process starts with detailed, documented performance planning that everyone undertakes. You will measure your day-to-day performance through productivity targets set within the firm's timesheet system, and periodically evaluate what you have achieved against pre-set mid to long-term objectives. Our performance management process is further complemented by an extremely attractive reward system which is designed to incentivize both team and individual success.
We are especially aware that our capacity to provide clients with advisory that works depends on the quality of our people. This is why we commit substantial investment in continuous education, learning and development.
We strongly encourage - and support continuous education aimed at enhancing individuals’ capacity to take in and interpret complex corporate performance concepts and at enhancing the transfer of knowledge and experience to new situations.
Upon joining ATP, you will embark on a structured induction programme aimed at developing knowledge, skill and attitude-based capabilities that you will find necessary to work within the firm.
Further, our personal development programmes target the advancement of both technical and non-technical capabilities that you will need to maintain successful advisory relationships.
Throughout your time at ATP, you will find yourself in one development programme or another, aimed at enhancing your self confidence, professional skills, leadership capabilities, and general corporate exposure, all of which you will need to deliver on your job.
